Laab ลาบไก่

  • 200g minced meat (pork, chicken, duck, beef)
  • Handful sliced coriander
  • Handful mint
  • 2 tbsp Megachef Fish Sauce
  • 25g sliced red onion
  • 1 tbsp toasted rice powder*
  • lime juice to taste
  • Ground dried chilli to taste
  • Lion Brand Jasmine Rice/Lion Brand Glutinous Rice


  1. Cook mince over medium to low heat until the meat is done.
  2. Take pan off the heat and add red onion, coriander and mint
  3. Combine with Megachef Fish Sauce, lime, rice powder
  4. Garnish with dried chilli
  5. Serve with Lion Brand Jasmine Rice or more traditionally with Lion Brand Glutinous Rice

*Toasted rice powder or khao kua is the essential ingredient in Larb. Use half a cup of raw Lion Brand Glutinous Rice and evenly toast rice in pan over medium to low heat. Allow to cool and grind in a mortar and pestle until a fine powder is achieved. Store in an airtight container
